Voter Registration Information

Voter Registration Information for Town of Mountain Village Residents / Property Owners
It's election time and we want to make sure you have the information you need to vote. You must register to vote by Monday, October 10 by 5 p.m. to vote in the Town of Mountain Village election this November.

Residents
If you are a resident of Mountain Village and at least 18 years old on the date of the election, register to vote here (Colorado Secretary of State Election Division).

You can check your registration status at the Colorado Secretary of State’s office here (takes only 30 seconds).

Second Homeowners / Property Owners
If you are a second homeowner or own property in Mountain Village, you can vote in town elections and still maintain your right to vote in the jurisdiction of your primary residence. This privilege is written into the town charter, which you can find here. Note: title to the Mountain Village property must be in your individual name and not in a trust or held by a company.

For instance, if you own land or a home in Mountain Village but maintain a primary residence in Austin, Tex., you can vote in Town of Mountain Village elections and still retain your right to cast a ballot in Austin and Texas elections.

If you want to vote only in Town of Mountain Village elections and maintain your ability to vote in the state where you maintain your primary residence, you must fill out the Town of Mountain Village voter registration form.

If your address has changed in the last two years, you will need to complete a Change of Address Request Form.

For more information about voter registration requirements in the Town of Mountain Village, visit the Town’s website here or contact the Town Clerk at 970-369-6406.
