Appointing New Council Member
Mountain Village Town Council will appoint one new council member to fill a vacant seat at its 9/21 meeting. Interested candidates must submit a letter of interest and biographical information sheet by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 9/19.

Medical Center Update
The Telluride Hospital District (THD) Board states in a recently released update that they are continuing their search for potential sites for a new regional medical center. The 16-page update highlights the process that was initiated in 2014 to evaluate potential sites.
Concluding remarks in the update note that limitations on available real estate pose material challenges and that THD will require regional and community support in all phases of the project, including site selection.
John Gardner, CEO of the Telluride Regional Medical Center, called the search for a new site his top priority in an article in this week’s Planet. He goes on to say that the THD is sitting with local government officials to see if a pathway can be identified that would lead THD to success on a new facility.

TMVOA Board Meeting

GREEN Team
The Town of Mountain Village is seeking two community members for a Green Team committee that will provide a means for dialog on various environmental concerns and provide advice and recommendations to Town Council on matters related to environmental quality.
Candidates must submit a letter of intent by 5 p.m. on 9/19 to the for consideration. To qualify, you must be a permanent resident and a registered elector with the Town of Mountain Village. Town Council will appoint committee members at the 9/21 Council meeting.
