Call for Candidates
Nominations are now open for two seats on the TMVOA Board of Directors — one representing Class A Members and one representing Class B Members.
Nominations will be accepted through June 16, 2026. The electronic election will open on June 22, 2026 and close on July 22, 2026 with results announced at the July 23, 2026 TMVOA Annual Meeting.
With the recent adoption of TMVOA’s Amended and Restated Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation, there are important updates to member eligibility that we would like to highlight.
Class A Seat
Who’s Eligible:
- All Owners of Class A Sites (Commonly referred to as the Residential Class)
- Class A sites are all sites that have the following zoning designations: Single-Family, Condominium, Non-Subdividable Duplex, Subdividable Duplex, Employee Apartment, Employee Condominium, Employee Dorm, Employee Single-Family, and Single-Family Common Interest Community or such other similar Zoning Designations as may be set forth in the CDC from time to time.
To be eligible to serve as a Class A Director, a candidate must:
- Be a natural person and 18 years of age or older.
- Must be either the fee simple Owner of a Class A Site, or the designated representative of a Class A member that is held in an entity (as authorized in writing by the owner and submitted to the Association).
- Fractional or time-share Owners of a Class A site may also designate one representative in writing to serve if elected.
Class B Seat
Who’s Eligible:
- All Owners of Class B Sites (Commonly referred to as the Lodging Class)
- Class B Sites are all sites that have the following Zoning Designations: Hotel, Hotel Efficiency, Lodge, Efficiency Lodge, or such other similar Zoning Designation as may be set forth in the CDC from time to time.
To be eligible to serve as a Class B Director, a candidate must:
- Be a natural person and 18 years of age or older
- Must be either the fee simple Owner of a Class B Site or authorized to represent a Class B Member (for example, an owner entity may designate a natural person to serve).

Who's Not Eligible:
- A person who is an owner, officer, director, member, shareholder, management-level employee, or family member of a Resort Owner or a Resort Owner Affiliate may not serve as a Class A, Class B, or Class C Director, as long as Class D exists.
- A person who is an appointed or elected Town official (“Town Official”) or a Town management level employee or department head (“Town Employee”) or the immediate family member of a Town Official or Town Employee may not serve on the Board of Directors while the Town Official is in office or the Town Employee is employed by the Town. No such person may serve on the Board of Directors within one (1) year after the Town Official leaves office or the Town Employee is no longer employed by the Town.
- A person who is an employee or independent contractor of the Association or an immediate family member of an employee or independent contractor of the Association may not serve as a Director on the Board of Directors. No such person may serve on the Board of Directors within one (1) year after the person’s employment or contractual relationship with the Association has ended.

Additional Notes
- A Member may belong to more than one Class if they own sites in more than one Class.
- All Telluride Ski & Golf LLC (TSG) and TSG-affiliated properties and votes have been removed from Classes A, B, and C and now reside entirely within Class D.
- As a result, Class D Members cannot vote in the upcoming Class A or Class B Board elections.
