TODAY: Controlled Burns
Telluride Ski Resort and the United States Forest Service will be conducting two controlled pile burns beginning today (11/19). They will be burning dead and diseased timber that was removed as a result of the recent Chair 9 forest mitigation project.
The controlled pile burns will take place at two specific areas—one on upper Double Cabin ski run (Chair 10) and the other at the base of Bushwacker ski run (Chair 9).
TMVOA Election & Board Appointment
It’s election time at TMVOA, with one Residential (Class A) seat and one Lodging seat (Class B) up for election. The term for each of these board seats is 2-years. As TMVOA has done for the past five years, the election is being carried out using a secure electronic ballot system unless you request a paper ballot.

At last week’s 11/13 TMVOA Board of Directors Meeting, the Board made an appointment per the Bylaws to fill the vacant Commercial Board seat (previously held by the late Jeff Badger). The Board appointed Sean Stogner, manager of multiple retail locations in both Mountain Village and Telluride. Mr. Stogner will serve the remainder of the Commercial term through December 2020. The next Commercial seat election will take place at the end of 2020 for the 2021-2022 term.
